West Bengal Kharif Paddy Procurement Yojana 2024
So almost 1300000 farmers in the state have been enrolled under the Kharif Paddy Purchase Scheme launched by the West Bengal government. It has been told by the concerned organization and the state government that about 13 lakh farmers will be registered under this scheme. The concerned officials have also informed us that under this scheme, they will extend the benefits of this scheme to the maximum number of farmers. 45 quintals of paddy will also be procured for the farmer’s brother. As of now, no information has been given by the concerned organization and the state government regarding the price of paddy. Under the West Bengal Kharif Paddy Procurement Scheme 2024, there will be an uninterrupted supply of rice to the PDS and it will be started in the month of December to give the benefits of the scheme to the eligible citizens of the state.

Objective Of WB Kharif Paddy Procurement Scheme
The main objective of this scheme launched by the state government is to provide support to the farmers of West Bengal. Due to the low price of paddy, the farmer brothers are facing a lot of problems. The government has also announced the minimum support price but the price seems to be falling below the MSP provided by the government. West Bengal government will provide a maximum price on the quantity of paddy procured from one farmer per state. Which will become a source of providing long-term and distributed income to the farmers.
