This recruitment will start soon and 5623 positions will be opened. The senior inspector and DGI Rajkumar Visvakarma have confirmed that these 5623 positions will be opened soon for which hiring will be done online. These 5623 posts will be for the SI position in UP Police. In all these posts the total number of men who will be hired is 3307 and for women, 600 posts will remain open. In all these SI positions male sub-inspectors for civil police will be hired 2400 and for the post of sub-inspector in fire services 97 posts will remain open and 210 posts will be open for men in platoon commander in PAC where a total of 600 posts will remain open for the sub-inspector civil post for women.

Education Qualification

• As per the government guidelines, this job position requires some educational background which is the same for males and females in which they need to complete their essential qualifications by the time of their last date of form submission which they should complete their graduation from any recognized university which has been approved by the government of India with that those who are already pursuing graduation or in there the last semester too they are not eligible to apply for these positions. One should complete their graduation before applying for this post.

Age Limit

Now if we talk about the eligibility criteria for this news then it differs for men and women and for the cast categories too. The division of eligibility according to the government guidelines are-

• 1. Age for Men & Women will remain the same which will be between age 21 to 28 years.
• 2. Age for Men & Women for OBC Category will be between 21 to 33 years.
• 3. Age for Men & Women for SC& ST Category will be between 21 to 33 years.

Physical Qualification

• जनरल, एससी और ओबीसी के मेल कैंडिडेट्स के लिए 168 सेंटीमीटर हाइट, 79 से 84 का चेस्ट और 4.8 किलोमीटर की 28 मिनट में न्यूनतम रनिंग क्षमता निर्धारित की गई है।
• वही एसटी मेल कैंडिडेट्स के लिए थोड़ी सी छूट के साथ 160 सेंटीमीटर हाइट, 77 से 82 का न्यूनतम चेस्ट और 4.8 किलोमीटर की रनिंग 28 मिनट की क्षमता निर्धारित की गई हैं।
• जनरल, एससी और ओबीसी की फीमेल कैंडिडेट्स के लिए 152 सेंटीमीटर की हाइट, 16 मिनट में 2.4 किलोमीटर की रनिंग की क्षमता निर्धारित की गई हैं।
• एसटी की फीमेल कैंडिडेट्स के लिए 147 सेंटीमीटर न्यूनतम हाइट और 16 मिनट में न्यूनतम 2.4 किलोमीटर की रनिंग की क्षमता निर्धारित की गई हैं।

Now according to new rules, there will be no interview process for this position candidates will get selected on the basis of these three steps only. For this position, Physical measurement are as follows-

• 1. Race- For Male, it will be 4.8 Km. in 28 Minutes, whereas for Female Candidates it will be 2.4 Km. in 16 Minutes.
• 2. Height- For Male, it will be 168 cm. (160 cm for ST Category), whereas, for Female Candidates, it will be 152 cm. (147 cm for ST Category).
• 3. Chest measurement will be only for male candidates which should be 79 cm. (after pumping up the chest it should be 84 cm), whereas it will be 77 cm for ST Category.

• Sub Inspector:- Rs. 9300-34,800 Grade Pay Rs. 4200/-

Selection Procedure

The test for this position will happen in 3 steps which are –

• 1. Online test appearance in which candidates need to write the exam online.
• 2. Physical efficiency test which is also known as (PET)
• 3. Physical measurements and Document verification which is also a part of (PET)

UP Police SI Exam Pattern:

1. Written Examination: The UP SI written examination typically consists of two papers.
   • Paper I: This paper generally covers topics like General Hindi, Law/Constitution, General Knowledge, Numerical and Mental Ability, and Mental Aptitude. It may consist of objective-type questions.
   • Paper II: This paper assesses your knowledge of the relevant subjects, which might be law-related. It may consist of descriptive questions.
2. Physical Efficiency Test (PET): Candidates who clear the written examination are called for the Physical Efficiency Test. The physical standards vary for male and female candidates and may include tasks like running long jump, and high jump.
3. Document Verification: After the PET, candidates are called for document verification to confirm their eligibility.
4. Physical Standard Test (PST): This test ensures that candidates meet the specified physical standards such as height, chest measurements, etc.
5. Final Merit List: The final selection is made based on the marks obtained in the written examination and any other criteria as specified in the official notification.
