Merit Scholarship from NEC
| The official name of the NEC Merit Scholarship is Financial Assistance to NER Students Pursuing Higher Professional Courses. It only supported permanent NER resident students studying anywhere in India whose parents’ annual income did not exceed Rs. 8 lakhs. It is not available to NER students who are already receiving subsidies through another plan. Diploma, degree, post-graduate, or M.Phil./Ph.D. students from any government-recognized institute are eligible. |

Prime Minister’s Scholarship Programme for RPF/RPSF
| It was first released in 2005. The scheme’s goal is to promote higher technical and professional education for dependant wards of ex/serving RPF/RPSF members and widows (below the rank of Gazetted officer). In each academic session, 150 students are chosen, with half of them being female. BE, B.Tech, BDS, MBBS, BEd, BBS, BCA, MCA B. Pharma, and other professional degree courses duly recognized by government regulatory bodies are eligible. Except for MBA and MCA, it is ineligible for master’s degree programmes. |
Ministry of Human Resources and Development Scholarship Programme
Central Sector Scholarship Scheme for College and University Students | This plan provides 82000 scholarships to deserving kids from low-income families. It is given to students enrolled in standard graduate, post-graduate, and professional degree programmes. Students between the ages of 18 and 25 from various state boards who scored above 80% in Class 12th are eligible. |

National Fellowship and Scholarship for ST
| Students Pursuing Higher Education It’s a scholarship for ‘Formally Top-Class Education for Scheduled Tribe Students.’ Two central sector initiatives, Rajiv Gandhi National Fellowship (RGNF) for ST students and Top-Class Education for ST Students, amalgamated to become National Fellowship and Scholarship for ST Students Higher Education.’ It is divided into two parts: Fellowship (introduced in 2014) and Scholarship (introduced in 2015). Fellowships are given to ST students for higher education courses such as Ph.D., M.Phil, and so on, and scholarships are given to ST students for graduate or post-graduate courses in government or private institutions. |
