Madhu Babu Pension Yojana was first launched in January 2008 by the Government of Odisha and the Department of Social Security and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities. This pension scheme was started by merging two pension schemes, the Revised Old Age Pension Rules, 1989, and the Disability Pension Rules, 1985. All the old age people of the state or PWD or widows and transgenders of the state can apply for the benefit of this scheme. Under the Madhu Babu Pension Yojana 2023, the state government will provide a stipend ranging from Rs 500 to Rs 900 to transgender people based on age. मधु बाबू पेंशन योजना ओडिशा राज्य में चलाई जाने वाली एक सरकारी योजना है जिसका मुख्य उद्देश्य गरीब और दिव्यांग लोगों को मासिक पेंशन प्रदान करना है। इस योजना के तहत, 60 वर्ष से अधिक आयु के लोगों को मासिक रूप से ५०० रुपये की पेंशन दी जाती है और दिव्यांगता के आधार पर इस राशि में आवश्यकतानुसार इजाफा किया जा सकता है। यह योजना गरीब और कमजोर वर्ग के लोगों को सहायता प्रदान करके उनके जीवन को सुधारने का प्रयास करती है।

Eligibility Criteria for Madhu Babu Pension Scheme 2023

1. All the interested applicants must be permanent residents of Odisha.
2. The age of the interested applicant should be 60 years and above.
3. All widows or leprosy patients in the state with obvious signs of deformity of any age
4. PWD person of any age is eligible to apply.
5. The annual income of the applicant family receiving the benefit of Madhu Babu Pension Yojana 2023 should be less than Rs.24000/-
6. Interested applicants should not get the benefit of any pension scheme by the Central or State Government.
7. AIDS patients identified by the State/District AIDS Control Committee of any age can apply.
