Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
- Candidate must have passed Matriculation (Class 10th) or its equivalent from a recognized board as on or before the closing date of application.
Age Limit (As on 01 August 2025)
- For MTS: 18 to 25 years
- For Havaldar: 18 to 27 years
- Age Relaxation: OBC – 3 years, SC/ST – 5 years, PwD – 10 years, and as per rules.

SSC MTS Exam Pattern 2025
The SSC MTS 2025 exam will be conducted in two sessions (Session I and Session II) under Computer-Based Test format:
Session I
- Numerical & Mathematical Ability – 20 Questions (60 Marks)
- Reasoning & Problem Solving – 20 Questions (60 Marks)
Session II
- General Awareness – 25 Questions (75 Marks)
- English Language – 25 Questions (75 Marks)
- Duration: 90 Minutes total
- Negative Marking: Session II only (−1 mark for each wrong answer)
- Medium: English, Hindi & 13 regional languages
Physical Test for Havaldar Post (PET/PST)
Only Havaldar applicants must qualify in physical test:
Male
- Walking: 1600 meters in 15 minutes
- Height: 157.5 cm (Chest 81 cm with 5 cm expansion)
Female
- Walking: 1 km in 20 minutes
- Height: 152 cm, Weight: 48 kg
