Applicants should be between 15 and 24 years of age as of December 28, 2024. However, age relaxations are applicable for candidates belonging to reserved categories. Specifically, there is a relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST candidates, 3 years for OBC candidates, and 10 years for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD). This inclusive approach ensures that a diverse group of candidates gets the opportunity to apply for the apprenticeship program.
Application Fee
A nominal application fee of ₹100 is applicable for candidates belonging to the General, OBC, and EWS categories. However, candidates from SC, ST, and PwBD categories, as well as all female applicants, are exempted from paying the application fee. Selection Process
The selection process for the apprenticeship is purely merit-based. A merit list will be prepared by taking the average of the percentage marks obtained by the candidates in both their 10th standard examination and ITI trade. In cases where two candidates have the same merit score, the older candidate will be given preference. If the date of birth is also the same, then the candidate who passed the 10th examination earlier will be considered. This transparent and fair selection process ensures that the most deserving candidates are selected for the apprenticeship program.
Stipend
Selected apprentices will receive a stipend during their training period as per the guidelines set by the Government of India.
